A graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, Eli started 20 games for the Lions under coach Frank Scelfo and helped lead the program to multiple winning seasons and its first conference championship since 2014. He is a native of Birmingham, AL and was a longtime QB Country trainee during his playing career. Eli has also served as a counselor and coach at the Manning Passing Academy.

“I loved my time training with QB Country and look forward to giving back to the football community who has given so much to me. Louisiana has a special place in my heart and I am thankful for the opportunity to coach the best position in all of sports.”  — Eli Sawyer

“Eli Sawyer epitomizes what it takes to achieve success at the QB position. His work ethic, competitive character and willingness to learn helped to make him a leader on our team and contributed to the many successes that we achieved as an organization. Over the years I have had the privilege to work alongside so many QBs that could dictate the narrative of a football program and Eli certainly did that. It would be an honor for him to teach my kids the fundamentals of QB play but more importantly, the right way to play the position.”  — Frank Scelfo, Head Coach SE Louisiana
