Former UK, Montana QB Reese Phillips to lead QB Country Chattanooga

Chattanooga, TN — Former University of Kentucky quarterback Reese Phillips will lead QB Country Chattanooga, delivering QB Country’s world-class training programs for middle school, high school and college quarterbacks in Eastern Tennessee beginning June 12.

A Chattanooga native, Phillips was a top Tennessee high school recruit who went on to play at UK and the University of Montana, where he was a starter and team captain. An injury ultimately cut his playing career short, but Phillips’ love for the game and passion for the quarterback position led him to coaching.

“I’m extremely excited to be back on the field where I feel most comfortable,” said Phillips. “I’m so excited to work with and help young quarterbacks get to the level I was able to achieve and go even further.”

Registration is now open at qbcountry.com for one-on-one and small group instruction with Phillips. Training will take place at Baylor School, 171 Baylor School Rd, Chattanooga, TN. For more information, email reese@qbcountry.com.

“We are thrilled to have Reese joining our team,” said QB Country founder David Morris. “He is a natural leader and a student of the game who has earned the respect of coaches at every level. He will be an outstanding role model and mentor for our young quarterbacks.”

Phillips honed his craft with some of the top offensive minds in football, including Neal Brown and Shannon Dawson at Kentucky and Bob Stitt at Montana. When a leg injury ended his senior campaign, he continued in the role of “undergraduate student coach” for the remainder of the season.

“Any athlete that has the privilege to work with Reese will get everything he has, every time he steps on the field,” said Max Drisco, current assistant head coach at Catholic University and an assistant during Phillips’ time at Kentucky. “His passion for football and the quarterback position is infectious and I know his energy and enthusiasm will translate with the athletes under his tutelage.”
