Former Bama, IMG Strength & Conditioning Coach Josh Hampton to Lead QB Country Performance
QB Country, the nation’s leading quarterback training company, welcomes Josh Hampton as its new Director of QB Country Performance. Hampton, a widely-recognized expert in rotational performance and speed development, most recently served as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Football at IMG Academy and previously was an Associate Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Alabama. During his eleven-year tenure with the Crimson Tide, he led performance programs for quarterbacks through an era of unprecedented success, training 2021 Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young, as well as Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, Mac Jones, and dozens of other NFL first round picks.
Hampton will lead all aspects of QB Country Performance, implementing and expanding world-class training programs for quarterbacks and rotational athletes. There are currently 15 QB Country-trained quarterbacks on NFL rosters.
“This is a defining moment for QB Country and our quarterback community,” said QB Country founder David Morris. “We want to be excellent in all we do. Josh is one of the most respected coaches in the field and his track record of success in developing quarterbacks and preparing them for the next level is unmatched. I am excited to have Josh lead us as we build the world’s best quarterback performance program.”
“I’ve always been eager to create and innovate and this partnership gives us the ability to build something unique,” said Hampton. “Never has the quarterback position meant more to the game of football than it does today and there’s no one doing more to develop successful quarterbacks than QB Country.”
In addition to football, Hampton led performance for baseball, volleyball, tennis, swimming and diving, and rowing during his time with the Crimson Tide. Josh played a critical role with dozens of championship athletes and teams, current and future pros, and medal-winning Olympians.
