College Football Week 10: QB Country Players of the Week

It was an action-packed week in QB Country, with big victories, first starts, and plenty of awards to go around. In leading Georgia to victory over #1 Tennessee, Stetson Bennett gets the Player of the Week nod, but our first team is as deep as it’s been all season. Here’s the full list:

Player of the Week:

Stetson Bennett, Georgia
Stetson went 17-of-25 for 257 yards and 2 TDs and added a rushing score in #3 Georgia’s 27-13 dismantling of #1 Tennessee. He ranks second among all SEC quarterbacks for passing yards and continues to shine brightest in the biggest moments – posting two of his best games in wins against #6 Oregon and the top-ranked Vols. He earned Davey O’Brien Great 8 and Manning Award Star of the Week honors.

First Team:

Bo Nix, Oregon
Bo became the first FBS player since 2001 to pass for 2 TDs, run for 2 TDs and catch a TD pass in Oregon’s  49-10 win over Colorado. Bo, who went 20-of-24 for 274 yards, also earned Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, Manning Award Star of the Week and Davey O’Brien Great 8 honors.

Drake Maye, North Carolina
Drake went 26-of-37 for 293 yards and 2 TDs and added 74 yards and a score on the ground to lead UNC to a 31-28 win over Virginia. He now leads all FBS QBs in passing TDs (31), total TDs (35), total yards (3477), yards per game (386.3), ranks second in passing efficiency (181.2), and ranks fourth in completion percentage (71.2).

Austin Aune, North Texas
Austin went 25-of-34 for 414 yards and 5 TDS (2 INTs) to set a career-high for passing yards and match a career-high for TDs in leading the Mean Green to a 52-14 C-USA win over FIU. He earned Manning Award Star of the Week honors.

Zach Pyron, Georgia Tech
Zach went 19-of-32 for 253 yards and a TD and ran for another score in his first career start to lift Georgia Tech to a 28-27 win over Virginia Tech. He led the Yellow Jackets back from a 27-16 deficit, rushing for a 9-yard game-winning score with 3:30 on the clock.

Grayson McCall, Coastal Carolina
Grayson went 18-of-26 for 253 yards and 2 TDs in leading Coastal to a 35-28 victory over Appalachian State. It’s the 5th game this season that Grayson has completed at least 69% of his passes. His touchdown to interception ratio (21:1) is best among all FBS quarterbacks. Coastal is now 8-1.

Riley Leonard, Duke
Riley threw for 158 yards and a touchdown and ran for 96 yards and another score to help Duke beat Boston College 38-31. It’s the fifth time this season he has rushed and thrown for at least one TD.

Emmett Morehead, Boston College
Emmett went 27-of-45 for 330 yards and 4 TDs in a 38-31 setback at Duke. It was Emmett’s first start and he became BC’s first QB with four passing TDs since 2020.

Drew Pyne, Notre Dame
Drew went 9-of-17 for 85 yards and a TD and rushed for another score as Notre Dame beat #4 Clemson 35-14. Drew is now 6-1 as a starter with wins over four ranked opponents this season.

Will Rogers, Mississippi State
Will went 42-of-59 for 357 yards and 3 TDs and broke Dak Prescott’s program records for TD and passing yards as MSU beat Auburn 39-33 in overtime.
