Former Miami Quarterback Malik Rosier to Lead QB Country Orlando
Orlando, FL — Former Miami Hurricanes star quarterback Malik Rosier has joined QB Country, the nation’s leading quarterback development and training company. Rosier will lead QB Country Orlando, delivering QB Country’s world-class training programs for middle school, high school and college quarterbacks in Central Florida beginning this spring.
During his four-year Miami career, Rosier led the Hurricanes to their first-ever ACC championship appearance, the #2 ranking in the country, and multiple bowl appearances. He set the program’s all-time single season touchdowns record, combining for 26 passing TDs and five rushing TDs in 2017. A respected leader on and off the field, Rosier served as Miami’s team captain. Over the past two years, he has served on the football staff at Miami and the University of Georgia. A native of Mobile, AL, Rosier was a longtime QB Country Mobile trainee under the tutelage of QB Country founder David Morris.
“I am so excited to have Malik join our team,” said Morris. “He is a student of the game and an outstanding young coach with a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed at the highest level. Most importantly, Malik is just a fantastic person. I’ve known and admired him since he was a kid. He will be a tremendous role model and leader for young quarterbacks in Central Florida.”
Rosier takes over a QBC Orlando program that was led by Charlie Taaffe until his passing in 2019. Coach Taaffe built a strong foundation in Orlando, helping hundreds of quarterbacks achieve and grow at all levels.
“It’s an honor to join the staff at QB Country and continue the legacy that Coach Taaffe built in Central Florida,” said Rosier. “I know how passionate this area is about football and I can’t wait to share my love for the game and the position with young quarterbacks here. David Morris and QB Country changed my life and helped me fulfill my dream of becoming a college quarterback. There’s nothing more I want to do than help others succeed and achieve their dreams.”
Rosier has worked with some of the top offensive minds in college football, playing under offensive coordinators James Coley and Mark Richt at Miami and working directly with Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken and offensive quality control coach Buster Faulkner last season.
“I’ve been fortunate to learn from some outstanding coaches,” said Rosier. “I’m excited to bring some of the knowledge and lessons I’ve learned to our quarterbacks.”
Registration is now open at qbcountry.com for one-on-one, small group instruction and college recruiting services with Rosier in Orlando beginning this April.
QB Country’s proven training programs have delivered remarkable results for thousands of quarterbacks. A record total of 21 QB Country quarterbacks started games for FBS teams last season. Since 2011, QB Country-trained quarterbacks have won four FBS National Championships. QB Country boasts six picks in the last six NFL drafts and had four QBs start during the 2020-21 NFL season.
QB Country currently trains quarterbacks in 11 locations across the Southeast and New Jersey; trainees include legendary retired New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, New York Giants starter Daniel Jones, Jacksonville Jaguars starter Gardner Minshew, Houston Texans and former Alabama star quarterback AJ McCarron, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Nick Mullens, former Georgia Bulldogs star and current Buffalo Bills quarterback Jake Fromm, and hundreds of aspiring middle school, high school, and college athletes.
“This is an exciting moment for QB Country,” said Morris. “Adding a special coach like Malik and re-launching our work in Orlando means we can bring the QB Country experience to a new group of kids and families. We have been looking for the right coach in Central Florida who understands our program and standards and we now have one.”
QB Country training focuses on the proper footwork, rhythm, mechanics and the unique intangibles of playing quarterback. QB Country is a holistic training program that also teaches X’s and O’s and develops leadership traits. The goal is to educate quarterbacks on how to consistently play the correct way at game speed.
“We guarantee major improvements in footwork, accuracy, arm strength, anticipation, confidence and the intricacies of playing quarterback,” said Morris. “Training with Malik and QB Country Orlando will lead to playing more confident with a deeper understanding and greater command of the position.”
