QB coach sees ‘very special’ leader in Georgia’s Jake Fromm

“I think another thing would be just his leadership and his ability to get people around him to stay engaged in all times of the offseason, in season, and not be distracted,” Morris told Dawgs247 in a recent interview. “I think his ability to lead is very authentic and very special, and I think it’s a part of what makes him special.”
“The ability to get guys to ‘play up’ around him and for him to always be so focused and locked in,” he continued. “It’s hard to stay locked in year round, and in certain weeks of the year even, just because football is a tiring game mentally and physically. And then also just the ability to not be distracted and kind of always go out there and play sharp no matter the opponent, no matter the season of the year. I just think that that’s a big big part of it.”
Morris, the leader of Mobile, Ala.-based QB Country, knows a thing or two about quarterback play. He played the position at Ole Miss from 1998 to 2002 where he was tutored by guys like Noel Mazzone (currently Arizona’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach), Kurt Roper (currently NC State’s quarterbacks coach), and David Cutcliffe (currently Duke’s head coach).
