His current roster of trainees includes NFL players like Bo Nix, Ty Simpson, Nick Mullens, and Matthew Caldwell along with a growing group of college quarterbacks including Christopher Vizzina (Clemson), KJ Jackson (Arkansas), Roman Gagliano (Middle Tennessee), Will Crowder (Troy) and Tucker Kilcrease (Troy). Neill currently works with more than 30 scholarship quarterbacks and has trained hundreds of players during his career, from youth football to the pros.
Ben has also played an extensive role in NFL Draft preparation. He led the draft prep of former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges, the FCS all-time passing leader and 2018 Walter Payton Award winner at Samford, and has prepared numerous other quarterbacks for pro days and opportunities at the professional level, assisting most recently on draft prep for Bo Nix and Ty Simpson.
Before beginning his coaching career, Neill was a quarterback and team captain at Samford University, where he helped lead the Bulldogs to their first Southern Conference championship while playing under head coach and Heisman Trophy winner Pat Sullivan. During his collegiate career, Neill learned under some of the game’s top offensive minds, including Rhett Lashlee and Travis Trickett.
A Decatur, Alabama native, Neill was a three-year starting quarterback at Decatur High School, earning All-State honors and Regional Elite 11 MVP recognition while setting nearly every major quarterback statistical record in school history.
The late Pat Sullivan praised Neill for his “great work ethic, outstanding character and strong leadership skills,” describing him as “a student of the game” with an exceptional understanding of both quarterback fundamentals and the X’s and O’s of the position.

“Ben and QB country are the best of the best when it comes to QB training. Since I started working with Ben my freshman year of high school my ability to play the position has improved drastically. My footwork, accuracy, arm strength, knowledge of the game, and leadership have all improved and I owe it to Ben. He pushes you to improve daily and truly cares about each of his quarterbacks. I recommend Ben and QB country to anyone serious about improving their ability to play quarterback.” – Logan Burnett, Mississippi State QB
“QBC has helped me to grow as a quarterback and a man. I have become a much better player as a result of training with Coach Neill. The individualized workouts help me work on the skills and fundamentals I need to work on the most. Most importantly, QBC has taught me how to become a leader. I have learned the proper way to handle the platform associated with the quarterback position.” – Hamp Sisson, Furman QB
“If it weren’t for QB Country I would be nowhere close to where I am today. I have not yet to be in an in-game situation that I was not mentally or physically prepared for by training with Coach Neill.” – Gavin Griffin, West Alabama QB
“Qb country gives you both the mental and physical approach it takes to play Qb at a high level. They are outstanding coaches that love the game and great men.” – Zac Thomas, App State
