QB Country welcomes four new coaches, expands to Denver, CO
Mobile, AL – QB Country, the nation’s leading quarterback development and training company, welcomes four new coaches to the staff team and announces the launch of its newest location in Denver, Colorado.
Former college and high school quarterback coach Hudson Hughes will direct QB Country Denver. Tyler Rice, who served as offensive coordinator at University of North Alabama and played quarterback at UT-Martin, will lead QB Country Memphis. Former Troy and Faulkner quarterback Kade Young will direct QB Country Jackson. Allan Walters, who played collegiately at Vanderbilt University and Mississippi State University, will join head coach Mickey Brueckner at QB Country New Jersey.
“We’re excited to welcome four talented quarterback coaches to our team and bring QB Country’s proven programs to the Mountain West for the first time,” said QB Country founder David Morris.
“Memphis and Jackson have been strong markets for us and Tyler and Kade will ensure continued coaching excellence at both locations,” said Morris. “QB Country New Jersey continues to expand and the addition of Allan will help us to better serve the growing demand for high-quality training in New Jersey and the northeast.”
With the addition of Denver, QB Country now serves 12 locations across the country, delivering world-class training programs to middle school, high school, college and pro quarterbacks in nearly every U.S. region.

QB Country’s proven training programs have delivered remarkable results for hundreds of quarterbacks. Over the last seven years, more than 240 QB Country-trained high school quarterbacks have signed college scholarships, including 37 in the Class of 2023. Since 2011, QB Country quarterbacks have won six FBS National Championships. This year’s NFL Draft Prep class included college stars and projected first round picks Drake Maye (UNC) and Bo Nix (Oregon), both longtime QB Country trainees. QB Country boasts eight draft picks in the last six NFL drafts. In 2023, eight QB Country trainees started NFL games.

Allan Walters, QBC New Jersey

Allan is a former Vanderbilt University and Mississippi State University quarterback and New Jersey high school player of the year. He serves as coach for QB Country New Jersey, teaming with Mickey Brueckner to provide world-class training for quarterbacks throughout the Northeast. Walters honed his quarterback skills under the tutelage of some of college football’s top offensive minds, including Mike Leach and Andy Ludwig, and was a longtime QB Country trainee. A graduate of the Peddie School, Walters earned All-American honors and a state title during his senior year of high school. His passion for the position and love for football and helping others inspired his transition to coaching.
“We are extremely excited to have Allan joining the team in New Jersey,” said QB Country New Jersey director Mickey Brueckner. “I’ve had the pleasure of coaching him and now coaching alongside him and know he will have a major impact on young quarterbacks in New Jersey and beyond.”

Former Troy and Faulkner quarterback Kade Young leads QB Country Jackson. A Tuscaloosa, Alabama native, Kade transitioned to the sideline after a successful playing career and most recently served as Quarterbacks and Pass Game Director at Faulkner, where he was a two-year starter and one of the program’s all-time passing leaders. At Troy, Kade played quarterback under some of the nation’s top offensive minds, including Neal Brown and Chip Lindsey. He is passionate about coaching the quarterback position and helping young players grow and improve. Kade holds a Master’s in Business from Faulkner and undergraduate degree in sport management from Troy.
“Kade is a natural leader of young quarterbacks,” said QB Country founder David Morris. “He’s had valuable playing and coaching experience and is a positive role model and a strong communicator who understands the unique demands of the position. He’s also a former longtime QB Country trainee who knows our company and culture and the responsibility we have to our quarterbacks and their families.”

Former UT Martin quarterback Tyler Rice leads QB Country Memphis. Tyler joined QB Country in 2023 following a successful coaching career that included stops at the University of North Alabama, UT Martin and Murray State. At UNA, he was the youngest offensive coordinator in college football and served as quarterbacks coach and pass game coordinator. He has coached future NFL pros and a number of college award winners. A native of Waynesboro, Tennessee, Tyler is one of the most prolific quarterbacks in the history of Wayne County High School. During his high school career, he was Tennessee Class A Mr. Football and a three-time All-State honoree.
“Tyler is an outstanding, experienced coach who understands the quarterback position and what it takes to succeed at the next level,” said QB Country Tennessee head coach Thomas Morris. “He’s the ideal leader for our Memphis location.”
Hudson Hughes, QBC Denver

Hudson is the head coach of QB Country’s newest location in Denver, Colorado. A graduate of the University of North Alabama, Hudson coached quarterbacks at the University of South Alabama and Pell City High School and has trained a number of quarterbacks at all college levels, including current NFL player Cephus Johnson. Hudson starred at Pell City, where he was ranked among the top QBs in the state of Alabama and mentored by five-time state champion coach Keith Ederedge.
