Atlanta, GA — Former Syracuse quarterback and college quarterback coach Charley Loeb is set to join QB Country, the nation’s leading quarterback development and training company. Loeb will direct QB Country Atlanta, delivering QB Country’s world-class training programs for middle school, high school and college quarterbacks beginning this spring.

QB Country currently trains quarterbacks in ten locations across the Southeast; trainees include legendary New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, Georgia Bulldogs star Jake Fromm, 2019 NFL first round draft prospect Daniel Jones (Duke) and hundreds of aspiring middle school and high school athletes.

Loeb, an Academic All-ACC honoree who appeared in 42 games at Syracuse, has coached at Northwestern University and Saint Anselm University since graduating in 2014. As quarterback coach at Division II Saint Anselm, he helped the Hawks become one of the most prolific passing offenses in the country. He played and trained under current Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who remains a close mentor.

“‘I’m thrilled to join the QB Country team and excited to expand our programs in a region with such a rich and successful football tradition,” said Loeb. “The quarterback position is my passion and I’ve been fortunate to play for and learn from some of the top NCAA and NFL coaches. I look forward to applying my knowledge and love for the game to help young quarterbacks achieve their goals and dreams.”

Registration is now open at qbcountry.com for one-on-one, small group instruction and college recruiting services with Loeb in Atlanta beginning April 1. Training will take place at The Westminster School in Buckhead.

“We are delighted to bring Charley on board. He is a star and one of the sharpest guys I’ve ever met,” said QB Country founder and former Ole Miss quarterback David Morris. “Charley is a coach who cares deeply about people and knows this position mechanically as well as schematically. He also understands the importance of relationships and communication with high school football coaches. He’s an extraordinary person, who will be a great leader and role model for our young Atlanta QBs.”

QB Country’s proven training programs have delivered remarkable results for hundreds of quarterbacks. Over the last six years, more than 140 QB Country-trained high school quarterbacks have signed college scholarships, including 37 in the Class of 2019 (to date). A record total of nine QB Country quarterbacks started FBS bowl games last season. Since 2011, QB Country quarterbacks have won three FBS National Championships. This year, the nation’s FBS and FCS passing leaders (Gardner Minshew/Washington State and Devlin Hodges/Samford) were both QB Country trainees. QB Country boasts six picks in the last six NFL drafts and two NFL starters during the 2018-19 season.

“QB Country is growing and we are committed to growing the right way,” said Morris. “It’s important that we have the right coaches in place to lead kids, hold them responsible and help them grow — and successfully deliver the unique QB Country experience. That’s why we are bringing Charley to Atlanta; he checks all the boxes. He is a special coach.”

Those who have worked with Loeb agree. “Charley is someone who after meeting him, you will never forget,” said former Syracuse strength and conditioning coach Matt Mancz. “He has an infectiousness and charisma that is unlike anyone I’ve ever met. You can feel his passion in your bones. He is aligned with a higher purpose of serving others. You will be a better person after crossing his path.”

QB Country training focuses on the proper footwork, rhythm, mechanics and the unique intangibles of playing quarterback. QB Country is a holistic training program that also teaches X’s and O’s and develops leadership traits. The goal is to educate quarterbacks on how to consistently play the correct way at game speed.

“We guarantee major improvements in footwork, accuracy, arm strength, anticipation, confidence and the intricacies of playing quarterback,” said Morris. “Training with Charley and QB Country Atlanta will lead to playing more confident with a deeper understanding and greater command of the position.”
