Chase Fourcade named to Walter Payton Award watch list

Nicholls State quarterback and QBC New Orleans trainee Chase Fourcade is one of 25 FCS players to be named to the Walter Payton Award watch list. The Walter Payton award is the nation’s top annual honor for FCS players. Fourcade is also on the Preseason All-American third team and his Colonels are ranked #13 in the country entering the season.

Fourcade was the 2018 Southland Conference Player of the Year and led the Colonels to a conference championship and second round FCS playoff appearance.

Another QB Country trainee, current Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Devlin Hodges, won the Walter Payton Award in 2018
