My name is Stephen Garcia. I was born and raised in Tampa (Lutz), Florida and was a 3 year starting quarterback at Jefferson High School from 2004-2006. I broke all of Hillsborough County’s passing records while in high school with 83 career touchdown passes and over 8,000 career passing yards. I led Jefferson to the State Championship as a sophomore in 2004 and went deep into the playoffs my junior and senior season.

After committing to the University of South Carolina, I graduated high school early and enrolled at SC in January of 2007. After red shirting my first year and playing sparingly as a redshirt, I was announced the starting quarterback as a sophomore. As a sophomore I threw for over 2800 yards and accounted for 23 touchdowns and led the SEC with 239 completions. We beat the #4 ranked team in the country that year, Ole Miss, which was only the 2nd time in school history we beat a top 5 team. My junior year was when everything clicked, as I threw for over 3000 yards and accounted for 27 touchdowns. We won the SEC East and beat a #1 ranked team for the first time in the school’s long history. I was only the 3rd quarterback in school history to throw for over 3000 yards. I was 3rd team all SEC that year behind Cam Newton and Ryan Mallet.

After graduating with a degree in sociology and minoring in psychology, I finished my career 3rd in South Carolina history for passing yards, and completions, and 2nd in total touchdowns. I played a season up in Montreal in the CFL in 2012, and then in 2014 played with the Tampa Bay Storm in the AFL. I am a super competitive guy and know what it takes to be a QB and perform at the highest level. I’ve had the opportunity to be coached by several big time coaches and learned a lot of different coaching strategies. After being coaches several different ways and seeing how people respond, I have developed a very positive coaching philosophy and will get you playing at a level you didn’t know you could.
