11 Coastal Alabama leaders you should know: David Morris

After playing football at the University of Mississippi, David Morris turned his “first love” into a rapidly growing business.
As a freshman non-scholarship player at Ole Miss, Morris earned the second-string quarterback position behind popular starter Romero Miller. When Miller was injured, Morris became the only freshman walk-on quarterback to start in the SEC at the time. Eventually his hard work paid off, and the dedicated team player earned a scholarship and became known as the back-up to Ole Miss legend Eli Manning.
Morris graduated in 2003 with a real estate degree and worked with his father at Courtney and Morris Appraisals and Real Estate.
Through it all, though, Morris said he frequently got calls about football training. “Gradually I started thinking, ‘I wonder if this could turn into a business.’ I created a model and kind of went for it,” Morris said.
He is now in his fourth year of operating QB Country full-time. “It’s always been my first love, football,” Morris explained.
