Paxton Lynch & Jacob Coker headline 6 QB’s training for the NFL Draft with QB Country

Jacob Coker led Alabama to a 45-40 win over Clemson in the National Championship .

Paxton Lynch and Jacob Coker headline six Quarterbacks training at QB Country for the NFL Draft.

2015_golden_arm_award_candidates-paxton_lynch_memphis_fullPaxton is currently training at D1 Orlando with QB Country coach Charlie Taaffe. Paxton attended Trinity Christian Academy in Deltona, Florida before he chose to attend University of Memphis. In his last year at Memphis, Lynch threw for 3778 yards, 28 TDs and only 4 INTs. In a 63-0 win over SMU, Lynch tied an FBS record with seven passing TDs in the first half.

Jacob Coker is training in his hometown of Mobile, Alabama with QB Country founder and CEO David Morris. He has trained with Morris since he was in High School at St. Paul’s.  Coker sat behind former Heisman winner Jameis Winston at FSU before transferring to Alabama to play his last two year of College ball.  Jake was 14-0 as a starter at Alabama.

john-robertson-injury-villanova-football-2Former Walter Payton award winner & Villanova QB John Robertson is training at D1 Nashville with coach Thomas Morris. John attended Paramus High School before choosing to attend Villanova in College. His Redshirt freshman year at Villanova, John won the Jerry Rice Award, going to the top Freshman in FCS. In John’s Junior season, he won the Walter Payton Award, going to the top player in FCS. He threw for 2846 yards, 35 TDs and ran for another 1078 yards and 11 TDs. John finished his career with over 10,000 total yards.

Jalen Whitlow is training with QB Country’s Ben Neill at D1 Birmingham. Whitlow was an All-state QB from Prattville HS who 0415_FB_CM-900x600started his career at the University of Kentucky in 2012. Jalen spent 2 years at UK and started a total of 15 games playing in 22. The season of his junior year, 2014, Whitlow transferred to Eastern Illinois to take over the QB job there. He started for 2 seasons being named to the OVC All-Conference 2nd team and set school records for; most consecutive passes without and interception and single season and game rushing yards for a QB. Jalen will throw his pro-day at EIU on March 8th.

Carson Barnett is also training at D1 Birmingham, with Coach Neill. Barnett was an All state QB from Landmark Christian school, who signed with Samford University in 2011. Carson was awarded one of Samford’s most honorable team awards for Character, Leadership, and Ability his senior year. Carson will throw his pro-day at Samford on March 8th.

Lastly, Jacob Huesman is training with QB Country’s Thomas Morris at D1 Nashville. Huesman is a 3-time SoCon player of the year. He attended The Baylor School (HS) before attending UT Chattanooga. At UTC, Huesman set all sorts of records, including one of only two in SoCon history with 4,000 passing and 4,000 rushing yards (Armanti Edwards – ASU (2006-09) and one of only three QBs in FCS history with 4,000 rushing yards.
