2018 Saraland (Alabama) QB Jack West commits to Stanford
Jack West & QB Country founder David Morris, have trained together for 6 years.
Alabama’s top 2018 Quarterback, Jack West of Saraland Hs has verbally committed to Stanford University. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound West had over 40 offers and the decision came down between Alabama & Stanford.
“I believe Stanford University is the best decision for me,” West told AL.com exclusively. “I think it will set me up for things much bigger than football. I believe it is the place that has the right people to lead me in the right direction.”
Jack’s High School coach & former NFL QB, Jeff Kelly told al.com that Jack did his homework.
“I’m excited for Jack,” Kelly said. “He’s put a lot of thought into deciding where he wanted to go to school and play football. I think he’s gone about it the right way. He’s done his research. It hasn’t become a distraction for him or this team.
West has trained with QB Country’s David Morris since the summer before the 6th grade. Morris said “Jack West is a special person. He has always been talented but he has a work ethic that is more impressive. Jack is hungry to be great and he knows that hard work is the only way to get there. I couldn’t be more proud of Jack and happy for his family, Coach Kelly and all involved. Now, Jack can move on and focus on his Junior year and progressing.”
